There are several signs that often appear when the Epson Printer is having problems and requires resetting. In that case there are two signs. First, the power indicator light flashes and the paper flashes alternately or simultaneously continuously.
The second sign is that various notifications appear on the computer monitor screen such as "it is nearly time to reset the ink levels
", "it is time to reset the ink levels", "Ink waste is full", "
service required" and "
Ink pad is at the end of its service live".
When the signs mentioned above appear, you don't need to panic or immediately take them to a repairman. Because of the problems mentioned above you can easily handle yourself, which is enough to do a Reset. Either manually or automatically using the Resetter Adjustment Program (AdjProg) application.
How to Reset Epson XP-102, XP-202, XP-402, XP-30 Printer Manually
- Unplug the power cord for about 3-5 minutes.
- Plug the power cord back in, then turn it on again.
- After turning on perfectly, then press and hold the RESUME button (ink logo) for about 5 seconds, then release.
- After that, press and hold the RESUME button again for 3 seconds, then release.
- If so, wait until the printer performs the reset process.
- Wait for the reset process to complete which takes 1-2 minutes.
- When the reset is successful, the indicator light (resume or ink/paper) will stop flashing and return to normal. Done. To ensure a successful reset, try your documents.
